Alistair Nicholas spoke on "Winning with the Public and Government Through Better Communications" at the Australian Investment Forum: Investing for China's Future, organised by ANZ Bank and law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques, 19 October, St Regis Hotel, Beijing. His notes for the speech are available for download here.

Alistair Nicholas is currently authoring a chapter on "Reputation Management" for a forthcoming handbook on communications. The book is due for release in the United States in November 2010. Watch this space for an update.

Alistair Nicholas is a regular speaker at industry conferences. He recently addressed the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)'s Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Hong Kong in April 2010, speaking on reputation management and crisis management in China. In May he addressed the AsiaPacific Public Affairs Forum in Beijing on crisis management and government relations in China.

The issue of ethics in the public relations industry in China were addressed by Alistair Nicholas, AC Capital's President and CEO, during a panel discussion on "PR Cyber Spin and Smear Campaigns" on Blue Ocean Network TV's Chinalogue program of 29 November 2010.

Alistair Nicholas took part in a panel discussion on "investing in China". The discussion was hosted by China Radio International's Today on Beyond Beijing program of 14 October 2010, which asked the crucial question "is China a good place to do business?" Alistair Nicholas was quoted on poor ethical standards in China's PR industry in an AP story about allegations that executives at China dairy company Mengniu fabricated a scandald that products of rival company Yili caused infant girls to develop breasts. The story ran as "China milk scare exposes scandal-for-hire industry" and was picked up in newspapers as diverse as The Washington Post and India's Economic Times.

"Gillard fires a Griswold diplomacy time bomb," The Daily Telegraph, 30 September 2010: Alistair Nicholas was quoted extensively in this article on the appointment of Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd as Foreign Minister under Prime Minister Julia Gillard. Alistair argued that the appointment could sour Australia-China relations.
